Our childbirth/parenting preparation classes are focused on the physiology of birth, and tips for how to have a positive birth and early postnatal experience. Our intention is to normalize the experience of birth, nurturing your newborn and parenting.

Childbirth Preparation Series – Six Classes
We offer this 6 class prenatal series 2 different ways to accommodate various schedules.
It can be taken over a 4 week period (4 evenings and one Saturday)
OR
3 consecutive Saturday series, with 2 classes being held each Saturday (with a lunch break)
Each class focuses on a different aspect of the birthing/parenting journey.
We have tried to include all the topics people typically want to learn more about, so that you don’t have to keep adding on extra classes. Each class can be taken on its own as well.
We are so pleased to be teaching in a “village” format as that is what we believe in – community.
We have several instructors teaching topics they are experienced in and passionate about.

Each of these classes is priced at $75.00 per birthing couple.
The series is valued at $450 but is priced at $325.00

Week 1 – The Big Day
This class is all about birthing. What does birth look and feel like? The importance of tapping into your innate knowledge, debunking myths, bolstering partner confidence and some real talk about interventions and options. Taught by Tarana

Week 2 – In Tune Mindfulness for Birth and Beyond
Learn the “why” and “how” of Brain Training and Mindfulness.
How to use those techniques and optimize the Hormones of Pregnancy, Birth and the Postnatal period in a positive way. Worksheets, Affirmations, Switch Cues and more, all designed to promote a calm, satisfying birth experience and transition into parenthood, on your terms. Taught by Dana
Week 2 – Labour Tips & Techniques
This session is set up like circuit training and gives you and your partner the opportunity to learn or review some techniques and important tips for working through the stages of labour and delivery. You will get one on one time with one of our Doulas at every station. Come prepared to move and practice!
This class is great whether you are having your first baby or your 9th baby!
Week 3 – Breastfeeding Essentials
Some Topics include:

- How to know Baby is getting enough Milk
- Ways Partners can Help Best
- Knowing when to recognize that you Need extra Help
- Where to get Extra Help with Feeding
